El Niño Alert
Due to the forecasting of a historically strong El Niño climate event beginning October 2026 and extending until May 2027, we have made the decision to close The BELL Center for the entire 2026/2027 winter season.
It is highly likely that major infrastructure along much of the coastal Pacific including roads, bridges, and the power grid will be severely affected by high levels of rain and flooding during these months. Therefore, we do not want to put any of our guests or their travel plans at risk.
We will be doing our best to reinforce and protect the center against these weather related events, in order to be back up and running as soon as possible.
